科研成就

科研综述2005年,张翔课题组研制出世界第一块超透镜,首次演示了突破光的衍射极限的成像效应。2007年,超级透镜之研究突破被选为探索杂志评比全球前百大科技发展。2008年,张翔课题组成功制备出世界上第一次具有光学负折射系数的三维材料;被《时代杂志》选为2008年评比全球前十名科技发现、前五十大年度发明。将光的负折射原理推广到声学,第一次实现了具有负弹性模量的声学超构材料和器件;同时,他主导发展了等离子体光刻技术,成功刻写出纳米级电子电路。2009年,研制出了世界上第一个表面等离元半导体激光器。2011年,利用单层石墨烯研制出了世界上最小的超宽带高速光调制器;通过双光子吸收发现了二维半导体材料中的超强激子相互作用及巨束缚能。论文专著截至2015年,张翔发表了300余篇期刊论文,其中包括《science》,《nature》,《美国科学院学报》和《物理评论快报》等刊物,他在国际会议和机构上发表了280多次主题演讲,全体会议和特邀演讲,下面列举具有代表性质的论文名录:K. 张翔认为建设世界顶尖大学的四个支柱是一流人才、学术环境、远见与战略及资源支撑,他认为学术上应该营造一种批判、质疑与自由合作的氛围;学校要支持青年学者独立研究,敢于挑战学术权威;在关注短期“表现”的同时要有长远布局,围绕学科本身多做思考;排除学术评价中的非学术干扰,引入国际评价以期更为公正的评价机制;注重学生的多元化培养,塑造创新性与批判性的顶尖人才;教师要在科研与教学间寻求平衡;新兴跨学科研究和教学急需打破院系壁垒;同时,要拓宽社会募捐渠道,为科研广开财源。1996年张翔进入宾夕法尼亚州立大学任教开始,培养了多名博士,并指导博士后的研究工作,截止到2015年培养和指导了50多名中国籍研究生、博士后和访问学者,其中一些学生的具体信息如下:
