Southampton vs Watford

Southampton has been a good surprise in my opinion this season, they struggled early in the season because they lost two very important players but with time the team got better and better and is right now playing really well in my opinion, they were on an amazing run and making great performances until they lost 0:4 on the road against Aston Villa, to be fair Aston Villa has been in good shape too so that loss wasn't a big surprise but after that game they lost finally lost at home against Newcastle by 1:2, that was their 1st loss in their last 12 home games before that and even they lost that game they played well and should have not lost in my opinion, they just were super unlucky and weren't able to take care of their chances and also Newcastle has been solid too lately but overall Southampton played well besides the loss. But overall Southampton has looked good in my opinion, they have been playing really well colective football and especially at home they have been impressive. For this game Southampton are without Vojnovic, Tella and McCarthy.

Watford is one of those teams that will be relegated this season in my opinion, current they are in 19th place but I don't say that because of the rank of the table, overall they are not a good team at all, they don't produce many scoring chances and have one of the weakest attacks in the league and their defensive line is also a mess since they have been battling with some injuries, they suffered 7 goals in their last 2 games, 3 against Arsenal and 4 against Wolves and showing some bad sign on defense and this Southampton team is a team who creates a lot of chances when they play at home so I expect Watford defensive line having trouble today once again. For this game Watford are without Nkoulou, Ekong, Sarr and Femenia. Ngakia, Jesus and King are doubtful.

After two losses in a row for Southampton this seems the perfect match-up for them to get back on the winning track especially playing at home where they have been impressive lately, yes they lost 1:2 against Newcastle but that wasn't because they played bad, they just weren't able to score more goals because overall they had the chances to score 3 or 4 goals in that game and played well enough to at least not lose the game. Here I expect Southampton to control the game, have more ball possession and give Watford weak defensive line many problems, it's just a matter of taking care of the chances that they will create, if they will I see Southampton winning here this game and get the 3 points.
