After placing in the eighth finals of the Conference League, Vitesse returned to his obligations in the domestic championship. They continued the championship in the best possible way, with a convincing 4-1 victory against NEC. With this victory, they consolidated their position on the table, which at the moment guarantees them participation in the playoffs for the Conference League. The Vitesse players really deserve to be on the European scene again next year, according to everything shown so far in the championship, and according to what they showed in a duel with the quality team Rapid from Vienna. In both duels against Rapid, they were a much better rival and in Vienna they allowed the home team only two shots on goal, from which the goals were scored. After that, a match was played in the Netherlands in which the host had complete control on happening on the field during all 90 minutes. If you look at their results lately in the domestic league, someone can get the wrong impression about their game, as they have two defeats in the last 4 games. But I must mention that these two defeats were suffered by, realistically speaking, better teams PSV and Twente. Today they will certainly have an easier task and this will be an ideal opportunity to gain additional self-confidence in front of the duo that awaits them against Roma. 

Today, they are visited by a team about which it is very difficult to say anything in superlatives. Sparta is in the relegation zone and will have a very difficult task to survive in the league this year. They have played 23 games so far and have recorded just three wins, two against Willem II and one against Sittard. Both of these teams are together with them in the relegation zone and it is clear what kind of playing qualities this team has. In duels with better teams from the league, to which Vitesse certainly belongs, in 90% of cases they only know about defeats. In terms of the number of goals scored, they are by far the worst team in the league, with only 18 goals scored in 23 games, which means that they score less than one goal per game. The greatest danger for Sparta's defense will certainly be the great young Belgian Lois Openda, who is already on the radar of some of the world's biggest clubs. I expect complete domination of the hosts and of course a lot of goals, which we are used to in the Dutch league.
