Usually I shy away from teams who have been in such stunning shape as Leipzig for this long. But since they are facing an opponent of Bochum caliber - there is a reason to keep faith and wait for Tedesco high flying team to earn another Bundesliga win.

Bochum is a fun love side on their first year in the top tier division. With all due respect, they’ve really been earning more points than their actual squad quality deserves. Credit to manager Reis for his work. It’s surreal to see Bochum with a 40 million Euro roster, that remained almost unchanged since promotion, to be sitting in the table above Wolfsburg or Borussia Mgladbach, just a couple of casual points behind Eintracht.

Bottom line, in my opinion, Bochum has delivered their decent streak, which featured the massive 4-2 win over Bayern Munich as the highlight, and there must be a decline in their results around the corner. Signs of that were already on the horizon, when Bochum nearly lost to 17th place Stuttgart the other week.

Whereas for RBL, they’ve been close to flawless in 2022 under Tedesco. Truly a pleasure to watch, really fine tuned, aggressive and dominant football, that is also consistent. It could be a minor reason for concern, the away match in Europe, but then, as I’ve said times before, RBL has a deep enough squad for decent rotation + the team seems to be super fit at this point of time.

We can also add 100% motivation for 3 points as the race for a Champions League berth is heating up with Hoffenheim and Freiburg having won their weekend games already.

This is likely to turn into a goal feast and I expect visitors to outscore and prevail.
