Arsenal VS Sunderland

Arsenal is sitting in first place with a good 6 point lead over Manchester City after beating Leeds United 4:0 on the road but things haven't been quite good for them before that where they had 2 draws and 1 loss but somehow they survived and maintained a nice lead because Manchester City didn't produced too. Arsenal has been a very strong home team with 9 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss and 28:8 in goals but in their last two home games for the Premier League they got beat by Manchester United and only got a draw against Liverpool, to be fair with them they could have won that Liverpool game and could got a draw against Manchester United. For me Arsenal has no excuses this season, they have finally a deep squad so injuries that come will not be that big of a deal in my opinion because their squad this season is loaded with talent and today they will face a team who is struggling too with injuries.

For this game Arsenal is without Merino, Saka and Dowman. Odegaard is doubtful.

Sunderland came to the Premier League and made big investment and things early in the season where looking amazing and that's why even their result have gotten worse they are still in a very good 8th place. However, this team on the road is a complete different team than at home, they are one of the best home teams in the Premier League but also one of the worst road teams in the League with 2 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses and 6:17 in goals and today they will face the leader on the road after struggling really badly in their last road trip to West Ham where they lost 1:3 in a game they could have easily lost by more and 0:3 against Brentford so I think they will have a really hard time here once again on the road.

For this game Sunderland is without Xhaka, Masuaku, Jocelin and Traore.

Both teams are dealing with some injuries in this game but like I said, Arsenal squad is deep and they have tremendous options but we can't say the same about Sunderland, they don't have it and especially not having Xhaka is a very big deal, he's the soul of the team and the heart of the team what makes everything work and without him they lose their leader and that's a big blow and that combined how bad they have looked on the road I think that Arsenal has everything in their favour here to win this game by 2 or more goals and secure at least that 6 points lead over Manchester City for the league title, what is Arsenal main goal this season.
