Levante ended their record-long streak of not winning matches since April last time v Mallorca, and it was about time as they have performance-wise been about the same midtable class team they always are. The win however did open a lot of mental locks, it was treated like winning the World cup, and Levante have very much the survival in their own hands now.

Levante did fire their coach already earlier, but their problems were not down to manager, it was more or less purely very bad luck in games, which led to weakened self-confidence and to another. A negative spin, which now is history!

The xG-data is never a reliable source to predict future but always worth checking out. In this case it says that Levante who are the bottom of the table with 11 points should actually have 25 points by now, and be somewhere at 10-15th which is also where they were expected to be.

Levante's problems on the pitch have been defensive mostly, as they do create chances and can score, no wonder as they have Morales, Bardhi, Roger and De Frutos who all are excellent attacking players with various set of strenghts.

Today Levante miss a few players, but none of them is huge miss. Campaña on paper the biggest name, but all easily replaceable.

Cadiz have been the weakest side this season in La Liga, mostly down to weak player material, and the only way to survive for them would be to win the right games and hope for the best, there is no sign of them getting into several wins in a row. However they have succesful in the cup so far, they are now in the last 8, and even now have a winnable fixture ahead there shortly, Valencia away in early February.

Cadiz kicked out Cervera as the coach, he was well liked, but so far this season Cadiz did not have the ball in any of their games, did not create anything and most of their points have been down to heroics of keeper Ledesma.

Funnily enough both of the wins of Cadiz this season have been on the road, at Bilbao and Vigo.

Cadiz are poor home and away, the change on the bench to another anti-football coach Gonzalez is not going to improve their performances, and this is another match where the key for them is how many shots Ledesma will save. Injury situation is acceptable, only Jonsson is some kind of a profile player who is out.

Levante will destroy them today however, 3-0 or so.
