Cagliari are currently one of the weakest sides in Serie A, and the usually strong home advantage also seems all gone. It used to scare other teams to travel to the Southern islands Sardinia and Sicily, but Covid has wiped that all away.

Cagliari are 17th in the actual table, 19th in the xG only above Crotone, and they remain in huge relegation trouble. At home they have earned 8 points from 8 games, which is on line with xG-data, only that they have scored a few goals too many.

There are injury worries as important Rog, Klavan, Nandez and Farago are out, all narrowing down defensive options from defense or midfield. On the positive side their returning star Nainggolan surely is a threat, or would be in better match fitness. In the loss vs Benevento he was a rather sorry sight with his long shots.

Cagliari have been weak in all departments, but they are especially poor in open play where their goal difference is -9, it should be about -15! 

AC Milan have big list on important absentees too, and it is the reason why I am not taking them personally pregame with these odds. There are 7 players out due different reasons, and 

perhaps they have not been that convincing recently despite the good results. They also met Torino in the cup, and won after a penalty shoot-out.
