Both teams at the moment in totally different mood. Aston Villa is in process under new coach Steven Gerrard, but everyone really trust him and want fight hard for him. Aston Villa have big goals for upcoming months and years and I'm sure everyone wants to stay on this boat. They made already one huge transfer in this transfer window - they signed Coutinho from Barcelona! Team looks good under him, they lost 4 matches, but 3 of them against top English teams like City, Liverpool and Chelsea. For Gerrard this is special game, no doubt about it. He is legendary Liverpool midfielder and he simply don't like Manchester United at all as both teams are not in good relations. For sure he have huge motivation to make good result here.

On the other hand Manchester United coming for this game after horrible home loss 0:1 against Wolves. That was fully deserved result - Wolves had 10 shots more than United in this game! João Mourinho really outplayed in the middle zone United duo McTominay/Matic . Atmosphere in team is not good, players complained in media about many stuff around new coach Rangnick. For sure there is not the same chemistry like in Aston Villa camp and that can make big difference today. Looks like Rangnick as well start to lose control a bit because he start to mixing formation too often so he is not sure what he really wants to play or maybe he start to cruck under the pressure of players comments. Hard to tell, but for sure this is not positive sign.

All in all, in those circumstances value for sure is on away side. I trust team which is in better mental state.
