In my opinion Hamburg have really good chances to make 3 points in today's match up.

I see huge difference in quality, potential and ambitions between both clubs. In previous season Hamburg somehow failed to get promotion into Bundesliga. Now their goal is very simple - promotion. They have all tools to do it - squad with high quality players, very nice stadium and big budget. They are on good way - second place after 15 rounds, but if they will win today they will be leader of the table after 16 rounds. On the other hand Osnabruck finished previous season on 13th place. At the moment they are on 11th place and this is their potential - I see them as a team from bottom half of the table.

This is special match for Hamburg coach Daniel Thioune. He was Osnabruck coach since 2017 until last summer. He helped club with progress from third level to Bundesliga 2. Now he is in Hamburg and for sure he wants to show up good against his former club. On the other hand he knows very well Osnabruck team and their weaknesses - this is big advantage. As well Hamburg key central midfielder Moritz Heyer came from Osnabruck to Hamburg last summer. In previous season when Osnabruck played on this stadium against Hamburg he scored a goal and received Man of the match award. For sure he was very important player for Osnabruck and now he have good motivation to play on good level. As well he knows weaknesses of his former teammates.

Osnabruck have very poor record on away against Hamburg - they lost 13 of last 18 such matches.

Hamburg is simply one class above Osnabruck. Their average ball possession in current season 56.8% and it's exactly 10% more than Osnabruck. They have 384 accurate passes per game, 80 more than Osnabruck. Hamburg already scored 14 goals more from open play. They created already 20 (!) big chances to score more than Osnabruck. Today Hamburg as well should be able to score goals without too many problems - Hamburg superb striker Terodde scored already 16 goals, so it's only 4 goals less than whole Osnabruck team. Osnabruck defense in that match looked awful. I see huge troubles for them today.
