Wolves are introducing a lot of new faces, City misses several midfielders but as we know, their squad width is massive, and at least Ederson is likely to start between the posts despite rumours of leaving.

The difference in quality favors City, who deserve to be considered favorites even away from home, with a win probability of around +70%. Despite the tendency for opening-round matches to have fewer goals, I estimate the expected goal tally here to be about 3.20, slightly higher than the betting market’s view.
