For the visitors, Abdul Mumin is expected to be the only absentee, with several others returning to full training after minor injuries.

Rayo make the trip close to full strength, a luxury Girona can’t claim. The hosts remain something of an early-season mystery, while Rayo arrive well-drilled, organized, and with a genuine chance to snatch all three points on Friday.

There are quite a many changes in both teams, but Girona suffered already last season so badly that I am not at all they are any better than Rayo, even at home. Anyway, an interesting season ahead of us with all the new faces in La Liga, especially Oviedo and Xabi Alonso!
