KuPS and RFS lock horns in this UEFA Europa League Qualification round 3 2nd leg clash at Väre Areena in Kuopio very early Friday Beijing time. This is the second-best of UEFA's three international club competitions! Football fans and us serious football bettors can expect a clash of pretty modest level by this league's 3rd qualification round standards. Most importantly my fans and I have another very promising betting opportunity! Indeed, we have won five of the last six picks betting on this competition. The hosts come from my home country, Finland, the visitors are a Latvian club. Firstly I want to mention  that according to a well-known and respected German website, Transfermarkt.com, the RFS are the bigger team here - by a decent margin, The KuPS squad is valued at about 5.70 million euros. The RFS players have an estimated total market value of over 11 million.  Both teams' squads' estimated market values are, in my expert opinion, more or less correct.. KuPS won the first leg in Riga 2-1 last week. Let's remember Riga is not very far from Kuopio so the home advantage was/is smaller than in many international games in Europe. Moreover, neither team have particularly loud fans / a big number of spectators at the "stadium". Indeed, some 3000 fans are expected to show up at Väre Areena. At the LNK Sporta Parks in Riga there were some 1600 spectators. KuPS performed very well in the first half of the first leg. I would say it was the best 45 min the whole season. RFS were disappointing - well below their normal level. For some reason they did not/ were unable to really press KuPS.. In the second half RFS were the better team on the pitch but scored only once - to make it 1-2. RFS had 60% ball possession and recorded six more total shots, one more shot on goal and five more corner kicks.

I expect RFS to improve from the 1st leg here - and for them to be aggressive right from the kickoff.. KuPS do not have to win, of course, so the odds of around 2.20 on the home win at the time of writing this preview are much too low! They have been erratic this season and I emphasize that their normal level of performance has not been even close to the level they played at in Riga.. Both teams have a few pretty important players missing today.. RFS are currently in 2nd place in the Latvian Virsliga with 64 points after 26 games. Their score difference is 70:25. KuPS are in 2nd place in the Finnish Veikkausliiga with 37 points after 19 matches. However, their number of expected points (xPTS) is smaller. They have scored 33 goals and have allowed 20 goals. By pure class they are only the 4th-best team in Finland. They have been lucky in terms of both expected goals (xG) and expected goals against (xGA). In their last match KuPS beat KTP, the rock-bottom team in the Finnish Veikkausliiga 2-0 away from home but the finals core flatters them.. RFS crushed Super Nova 4-1 at home four days ago. The visitors had just one shot on goal and generated only 0.22 in xG. RFS played in the Europa League League stage last season, even beating Ajax at home. They took a total of five points. Defeating Ajax, a big Dutch club, is something I do not believe KuPS could ever do!
