FC Viktoria Plzen VS Servette

Plzen is a team who is kinda familiar with this type of games and situations and even last season they played in the Europa League they did had some good results in that competition making in the end the 1/8 finals where they lost in a very close battle against Lazio. Of course it will not be easy for Plzen to make the Champions League this season again because it will depend on the opponent but in this round I think they are the favourite to advance with their experience but also because I think they are the better team overall and this home game will be very important for their success in this elimination round, a good result at home will put them in a good place.

Servette didn't play european competition last season but they did have a really good internal competition where they ended in 2nd place and what gave them the chance to fight for a Champions League spot this season but of course their chances are slim in my opinion but at least they are here but one of my main concerns for Servette in this type of situation is their defensive line who gives a lot of scoring chances to their opponents and Plzen has a very good attack.

Both teams had a good pre-season overall but Plzen already started their season and had a big road win over Pardubice by 5:1 where their attack showed good signs and they should come here heavily motivated for their 1st home game of the season and with the problems that Servette had last season on defense I think that Plzen attack should have no problems to create scoring chances here with Adu, Sulc and especially Vydra. Plzen knows that they are the favourite but they also know that not winning the 1st leg would put a lot of pressure on them but if they play like they showed they are capable and take advantage of their chances I expect them to win here by 2:0 or 2:1.
