Jaro VS Ilves Tampere

Jaro welcome visitors from Tampere for this Veikkausliiga battle at Jakobstads Centreplan very late Sunday evening Beijing time. Taking these factors into account the odds of around 1.50 on the away win are not justified.. We will take the Jaro +0.5 goals handicap with a 42.50% chance of winning!

The pitch in Jakobstad is still not in great shape which will hinder Ilves' game - strongly based on passing the ball fast - at least to some to some extent. They have performed better than I would have expected in my  in-depth preseason analysis..   The bookies should respect this tactically surprisingly mature small team more.. Jaro's Cissoko has been one of the most dangerous strikers in the Veikkausliiga this season.. A few weeks ago Jaro even beat HJK 3-2 away from home - as big underdogs on the betting market. They came back from 0-2 in the second half. HJK, the biggest and richest club in Finland, generated only pretty moderately more in xG than Jaro in this game. Ilves and Jaro last locked horns in Tampere in April. Ilves won 2-1 but Jaro generated more in xG and had just one total shot less than Ilves.. Jaro have won three of their last six games but lost to Inter Turku 1-3 away from home in their last game. However, their performance was not bad as they recorded 16 total shots and nine shots on target. Let's remember that Inter top the Veikkausliiga standings - having not lost a single game.. Between the games against Shakhtar, Ilves beat VPS 3-2 at home but were not convincing. Indeed, Ilves had only two more total shots - 13-11 to be precise.
