Even though they rely heavily on Vinicius Jr. to finish chances, their midfield structure and overloads consistently pull defenses apart.

Dortmund’s back five has helped them stay more compact, but they still struggle against top-level attacks and can’t maintain defensive discipline under sustained pressure. While Dortmund are quick and dangerous in transition, they don’t create enough clear chances when facing elite teams, as shown against Leverkusen, who, notably, were coached by Xabi Alonso before he took charge at Real Madrid. Real also has more big-match experience and players who thrive in high-pressure moments.

Combined with Alonso’s tactical flexibility and familiarity with breaking down systems like Dortmund’s, these advantages make Real Madrid the clear favorite to win.
