KTP – FF JARO

KTP’s situation has been developing worryingly for some time now. Dropped points due to goals conceded in added time and the recent 0–5 thrashing away to FC Inter have undoubtedly affected the team’s confidence. Direction has also been lacking on the pitch, particularly with key midfielder Armaan Wilson absent from the squad.

FF Jaro secured their place in the Finnish Cup semifinals on Tuesday with an emphatic 4–2 away win against familiar opponent Ekenäs IF. Their previous league match at home against AC Oulu also ended in celebration for Pietarsaari's side, as Jaro capitalized on their numerical advantage to come back from a goal down and win 2–1. AC Oulu’s situation at the bottom of the table shows no signs of easing. In the previous league match against Jaro, Abu Dumbuya’s early red card ruined any chances of success, and the result was a 1–2 loss. On Tuesday, however, AC Oulu showed fighting spirit in the Finnish Cup by deservedly defeating favorites SJK 2–0. The squad situation, which has weakened over the season, continues to cause problems, and the return to fitness of players like Danny Barrow, Marokhy Ndione, or Otto Kemppainen would certainly help.

VPS recently played a solid home game against Gnistan, and a narrow win would not have been unjust instead of the 0–0 draw. Overall, VPS’s performances have been fairly consistent throughout the season, although recent injuries have weakened the lineup. The possible return of Mads Borchers, Tyler Reid, Tristan Dekker, and Vilmer Rönnberg to the squad is something to monitor ahead of Saturday’s match.
