A bit funny setup as Klubi 04 has been excellent all season, after having lost to JäPS. That is also the only win of JäPS so far.

There is half an hour travel, the weather is sunny, JäPS have conceded the first goal in all of their matches so far this season, and can they afford it against red-hot Klubi 04? I would say no.

Klubi 04 is the youth reserve side of league club HJK, and they have been brilliant lately.

The preview from the home side is more positive.

JäPS’s record from the first nine matches of the season stands at 1 win, 4 draws, and 4 losses, placing them eighth in the league table.

At times, their performances have been quite impressive, but securing victories has proven difficult. In their most recent match, the Järvenpää-based team came back from two goals down to earn a draw against Käpylän Pallo, but their dominance in the second half wasn’t quite enough to secure all three points. Team captain Tino Palmasto commented on the team's early season as follows:

> “It’s been inconsistent. Early on, we had to focus a lot on refining the team’s defensive play, and we were conceding too many goals. Training has helped us improve in that area, but on the other hand, we haven’t been as clinical in front of goal as we could be. The team’s performances, especially in terms of gameplay, have often been good, but unfortunately, we’ve let some points slip away when there was more to take. The positive thing is that different areas of our game are developing — now we just need that final touch so we stop dropping points, and then the rest of the season will be really strong.”

**On Friday, JäPS will face Klubi 04, who currently sit third in the standings.** The young Helsinki-based side has started the season in excellent form, with striker Stanislav Baranov — the league’s current top scorer — recently being named Ykkösliiga’s Player of the Month for May. However, the first meeting between the two teams ended in a goal-filled match with JäPS claiming a 6–4 away win.

> “It’s definitely going to be a fast-paced game with lots of chances and action. They’ve had good momentum, so I expect an energetic and hungry team to face us. We need to match that energy and take charge at home right from the start,” Palmasto previewed.

**After three consecutive home draws, the Blues will be aiming for a full haul of points, with the advantage of extra rest , as Klubi 04 already played earlier in the week in the Finnish Cup. The visitors knocked out Veikkausliiga side IFK Mariehamn and have won four of their last five league matches. Palmasto has a clear idea of what his team must do to get back to winning ways:

> “A united team performance both in defense and attack. If we can perform at a high level as a team for the full 90 minutes and play a solid game using our strengths, the points will stay in Järvenpää.”
