Maritimo are having a terrible season with a lot of different problems. They have the spanish coach Julio Velazquez who was a very offensive coach in the past, made an amazing job in Belenenses few years ago, but after that his approach to the game changed a lot and nowadays his teams just park the bus and just defend the 0-0. After that amazing job that I said in Belenenses he was sacked from Alcorcon, Udinese, Vitoria Setubal and is close to leave Maritimo I think. Last season the president Carlos Pereira was not elected after 24 years as Maritimo's president and Carlos Pereira said before the game against Vitoria Guimaraes where Maritimo lost 2-1 that he would talk with the coach Velazquez to know if he deserves to have more games, but now the coach could have been saved by the now elections. Maritimo are playing really bad in the last games, when they don't have the ball they don't know what to do, the team is so predictable. They have some important absences like the best goalscorer from the last season Joel Tagueu. They have an amazing player who was already European champion u20 for France, Rafik Guitane but the coach doesn't like to play with 2 creative players in the midfield and it explains why they are so predictable when they have the ball. They will not have the home factor for this game, as this game will be in their main rival stadium, Nacional da Madeira, as their pitch was banned for terrible conditions.

Gil Vicente are in a bad shape at the moment, but in my opinion only in terms of results as they are still playing well as they shown in the last game against the strong Braga. The must win is really big for them as they know that they are playing well and don't need to change anything more. They gave good feelings against Braga and it can motivate the team to make better for this game and to bring the 3 points to Barcelos. Gil Vicente have so much better coach, probably better players but for sure are so much better collectively than this poor Maritimo that just wants do defend. An amazing good news for Gil Vicente is that the best right-defender of the team Ze Carlos is able again to play as he missed the last match because he is loaned by Braga.
