Cruzeiro had a troubled week. The players announced a strike together with other employees of the club and spent four days without training. The club’s president tried to intervene but salaries are still late for the squad and employees.

On the field, Cruzeiro will have important midfielders Giovanni and Adriano out, as well as coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, all suspended. The team will be led by assistant coach Maurício Copertino. I don’t think they can resists the attack of Avaí which are focusing on the campaign of promotion.
