Big clash in AFC CL between korean team of Ulsan and japanese team of Frontale.

Ulsan is by far the best team in Korea this season with Jeonbuk, they just faced them few days ago and made a draw.

The problem of Ulsan is that recently they got few injuries who will affect them for this game.

During the group stage Ulsan finished first with 18 points in 6 games but they had a really easy group so we can’t take in mind those performances.

They are going with a pretty defensive line up today with 3-5-2 but with wingers who will have a more defensive job.

For their offensive part they will be able to count on their best midfield offensive player, the georgian player Vako, also Lee Dong Gyeong who usually enters in game in domestic league because of U23 rule but as there is not that rule in AFC CL he starts today.

Sung-Joon Kim is the unusual starter for this game.

On their other side we have the team where my pick is about, Frontale.

Frontale was few weeks ago just the team who would be champion at 100 % in Japan but they lost two very important players. Ao Tanaka who left to Germany in second divison and Mitoma who left to Brighton and on loan to USG.

They were in big trouble at the first games without those two players.

Then they also got problems with injuries with Jesiel who was injured during a cup game.

Frontale made an awful choke against Urawa in cup where they led 3-1 and conceded two goals in few minutes.

So now for Frontale it’s all focus on AFC CL & J League.

For this game they have a pretty good line up and they will go with an offensive line up.

A 4-3-3 with Koyabashi in front, Ienaga & Damiao on the sides.

The midfield will be Tachibanada, Wakizaka & Joao Schmidt.

Defense will be with Yamamura-Yamane-Jesiel-Noborizato.

I expect Frontale able to change their tactic during the game with a 4-4-2 and put in front Damiao & Kobayashi.

They are aiming to put the maximum pressure on Ulsan who isn’t used to play offensive game.

We can see on the previous clash betwen korean teams & japanese teams that Japan is much better. Right now is playing Nagoya against Daegu, Nagoya just completely changed the game and is leading 3-2.

It won't be an easy game because of the fact that the game is played in Korea but clearly Frontale has everything ot make a positive result.
