One of the biggest problems for Slovenia has been scoring goals, only 3 goals in 4 matches is kinda awful and for today they will miss their star player Josip Ilicic who is their most important piece of their attack and best player so even they will face Malta who in theory is a weaker team it will not be an easy game in my opinion, especially without Ilicic in their line-up.

Malta once upon a time was consider one of the worst teams of the world but football has changed a lot in the past year, this type of teams got way better and have more quality, of course I don't expect them to make the World Cup but right now they showed some really good results, something that they never had. They lost to Russia 1:3 but played well and only suffered the 3rd goal late in the game, than they had an amazing road draw against Slovakia by 2:, one of the big surprises in this group, than they lost to Croatia 0:3 but it was not an easy game, the 3 goals came after 1 hour of play and they beat Cyprus 3:0, yes they played against 10 players but still it was an impressive win, overall Malta isn't that team who gets smashed all the time right now, they had a great evolution and are having a really good group stage here.

For Slovenia only the win matters, don't really matter how they win, by big or slim numbers and overall I think Slovenia will win here, however, I don't believe it will be an easy game at all, this Malta team is not an easy team to crack, they defend well enough and also can be dangerous sometimes in their attack and with Slovenia without their best player Josip Ilicic in the attack I really doubt that Slovenia will smash this Malta team, I think they are still the big favourite to win of course but I don't see them winning here by big numbers, I can see Slovenia winning here by 1 or 2 but not by more than that in my opinion.
