Then the team hit the stride and has not suffered a single defeat in LaLiga since then. The only downside to this was the over-the-top amount of draws. However, it did not stop Betis from finally returning to European Cups.

Cadiz have had a lot of changes in their roster in comparison to last campaign and most of them haven’t been for the best. They were largely outplayed by Levante in the opening game 1:1 draw and had little to offer going forward.

As things stand, they should be considered amongst main relegation candidates in the upcoming season, albeit the high 12th place finish in the 20/21 campaign.

With fans returning to Villamarin tonight, I can sense a special occasion that should be celebrated by Betis' win. It is not going to be too convincing, as usual in La Liga, but hosts do have to edge this for a variety of reasons. As a reminder, Betis prevailed 1:0 in both of their games against Cadiz last season, home and away.
