Tottenham has high hopes after appointing a great manager Nuno Espirito Santo for the 2021/22 season. Nuno did a good job in his four-year tenure at Wolverhampton, getting them back to the Premier League and making them a solid mid-table side. With a lot better players to work with at Spurs, and the trust from the club's board, we could finally see Tottenham winning a trophy after a very unsuccessful last decade. On the other side, Manchester City comes from another big-spending transfer window, bringing Aston Villa's superstar, Jack Grealish. As they are close to signing Spurs' best player and England's captain, Harry Kane, he may be absent in the upcoming duel, giving a huge starting advantage to the guests. These two teams already met twice this year, with City winning both times, 3-0 and 1-0.

The hosts will certainly miss Bryan Gil, Tanguy Ndombele, and Ryan Sessegnon, with Cristian Romero's and Harry Kane's appearance here also being questioned. Spurs had a solid preseason, winning over their main rivals, Arsenal, while also finding a tie vs. another London rival, Chelsea. However, Tottenham doesn't deliver when it is expected from them the most, and it wouldn't be strange if we see them losing against a dangerous City side. The hosts were a better team twice last year when they welcomed Guardiola's men, prevailing with a 2-0 result on both occasions.

Manchester City is without their star player, Kevin de Bruyne, and will also miss Phil Foden, Ederson, and Gabriel Jesus. However, phenomenal squad depth and great tactics by the world's best manager, Pep Guardiola, never fail to impress. Pep's club is the main favorite to win its second consecutive Premier League title, after dominantly winning it last year with a twelve-point lead over the second-placed Manchester United.
