解读理由

A free pick in an attempt to make up for the lost bet in Bundesliga on Friday evening.

I find Leicester “to win” option really appealing for a number of reasons. First and foremost, Leicester have had a head start to the campaign already, having won the Community Shield trophy last week beating Manchester City 1-0.

The team is going into a promising looking campaign, where they will make a return to the Champions league group stage and thus splash good cash into the club’s budget. The Foxes have kept all of their star men from last season, including “main man” manager Brendan Rogers, and have added some necessary depth to the squad in the face of centre-forward Patson Daka (RB Salzburg), defensive midfielder and Ligue1 champion Souamare (Lille) + the most recent signing centre-back Vestergaard (Southampton).

In turn, literally not a single regular player has left the club (let alone Cengiz Under, who was in rotation and on loan).

Wolves have a diametrically opposite situation. Not to a great extent, but quite significant for Premier League standards.

They’ve parted ways with Portuguese manager Nunu Espirito Santo and appointed his compatriot Bruno Lage, who previously had a mixed and debatable spell at Benfica. Interestingly, the 45-year old specialist was unemployed for a year after leaving Lisbon.

This is his first experience of working abroad on his own. Previously he had odd spells as assistant manager in English lower tier clubs.

Wolves’ lost their first choice keeper Rui Patricio (Portuguese NT gk) and striker Willian Jose, who was on loan from Real Sociedad. They are potentially set to part ways with centre-mid Ruben Neves, who is in intense talks with Arsenal, and striker Rafa Mir is one step away from Atletico Madrid.

Visitors are hit by a few injuries - more than 5 players are either unavailable or not fully fit. Centre-forward Jimenez is making a return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines and is definitely off form; regular winger Podence is out with a groin injury; Pedro Neto is arguably their biggest loss - a player who contributed to 11 goals (5g + 6a) last season.

WIth the fans back in the stadium, Leicester already showing their quality in the recent game against Man City, Wolves bound to experience certain adaptation issues under “new to the Premier League” manager Bruno Lage - I find the odds to home win worthy of moderate risk.
