This is the second round of the English Championship which is a surprisingly high-level league and I will be posting many value picks for fans in this league. Fulham are the biggest candidate to promote - I, along with many other football analysts, rate them as the best team in the Championship. They look strong in every sector - defense, midfield, and offense and with the current squad would do reasonably well. They played well in the season opener versus Middlesbrough despite the 1-1 final score. They dominated the match and would definitely have deserved a win! They had over fifteen scoring attempts and 66% ball possession. The draw probably affects the odds as they were expected to win but I was convinced by Fulham indeed. Fulham have some good new players for example midfielder Wilson from Liverpool who scored seven goals for Cardiff last season and Cazzaniga from Tottenham Hotspur and midfielder Johansen from QPR.

Huddersfield played quite okay versus Derby in their most recent match grabbing a point after a 1-1 draw. However I rate them as the 4th worst team in Championship - I am a bit more negative on their chances than the betting market on average. The difference in raw class compared to Fulham is substantial. I expect Huddersfield to struggle with scoring this season and would probably need new strikers to do better than place 16 or 17th at the end of the season. For this match Huddersfield still have pretty serious Covid-19-related problems and will have to again play without four players positive with the virus - Toffolo and Ruffels being the absentees that hurt hosts most.

To sum up, Fulham are solid favorites and have clearly over 50% chance of winning.
