This should be a game for the away side.

Halmstad is a very average side, who just managed to win 3 games out of 13 played. Their last game was a defeat 1:0 against AIK (1 position below Malmo) where they weren’t able to create too many chances. Against strong sides, Halmstad showed that they don't have any danger, explaining why they have the second worst attack of the league after scoring just 10 goals in 13 games.

We must remember that this team is newly promoted from Superettan (2nd division) this season. Halsmatd is a very defensive team with a defensive coach, so their plan for today will be to try to defend and achieve a goalless draw.

On the other hand, Malmo is fighting for the title with Djurgardens. They lost the 1st position and I think that this will be a motivation for them. They achieved three wins in a row in the league with a goal difference of 11:0, while also played Champions League qualifiers against Rifa FC, HJK (qualified in both) and Rangers (won 2:1).

But I’m not worried about the midweek games, as the coach already made rotations in the league. For example, in the last league game against Mjallby, key player striker Antonio Colak (league topscorer with 7 goals) and Anders Christiansen did not play a single minute.

Malmo has a very deep squad full of talent, and that’s why they are 14 points above Halmstad in the Allsvenskan after 13 rounds. They are the current league winners and want to repeat the title again, as they did in 2016-2017.

Difference between both teams is huge, and Malmo should be able to achieve the three points here. It won’t be easy, but I think that it will be a one way match and Malmo has enough quality in attack (they have the best of the league with 31 goals scored so far) to break the solid Halmstad defence.

Both teams already played a Cup game in March this year, where Malmo won 4:1.
