I rate the hosts as a much better team here.

Dinamo Zagreb won easily against Omonia (2:0 and 0:1) and Valur (0:2 and 3:2). In the croatian league they didn't start perfectly as they just won one game, drew one and lost 1. But the defeat against Slaven Belupo and the draw against Rijeka were both unlucky, as Dinamo Zagreb outplayed them making the double of shots and possession.

Hosts have a great squad, croattian league is above polish Ekstraklasa and the performances so far have been much more convincing.

Legia hasn't started the season well. Lost the Supercup final against Rakow, in the league also lost 3:1 against Radomiak and only managed to win against weak Plok 1:0, but they were outplayed there as they received double of shots and possession.

And the most important. In the Champions League matches they played against weak sides like Bodo/Glimt and Flora and their performances were so poor too. Against Flora scored a goal at 91’ in the first game (2:1) and in the second one referee made a huge mistake disallowing one legal goal to Flora (there wasn’t VAR there) when the result was 0:0. Then Legia scored the final 1:0.

Polish football is for me below the croatian one. But also analyzing the squad and performances, Dinamo Zagreb arrives to this match in a better position: their performances so far have been much better, rivals stronger, and they have more confidence. Maybe Legia will be competitive, but I think that their best face will be shown in the second leg in Poland. If both teams continue at the same level, today should be an easy win for the hosts.
