Vitoria Guimaraes vs Leixoes

Guimaraes last season ended the league in 7th place and because of that they changed the coaching staff and now they have one of the best Coaches in this league in my opinion and I expect big things from this team this season. Last season even Guimaraes ended in 7th place they were one of the best teams playing football in Portugal, they just had some big issues on scoring goals, they created a lot but weren't able to put the ball in the net and on defense they had some mental mistakes during the games but I see those things change this season because usually this Coach puts their team playing really solid defense and collective football, his teams are always solid and for the first time he will have a really good squad to make some noise in the Portuguese League, but now there is the Portuguese League Cup to play what he wants the team start to show some improvements from last season. Pre season was solid, 4 games, 4 wins and all by 2:1 against teams on the level of Leixoes, so I see this team ready for this challange today.

Leixoes are in trouble for this game, they couldn't train for this game like they wanted, 16 players of the team got bad reactions from the vaccine Janssen and weren't able to train and also the side effects hurts their condition, so it's not sure which team the Coach will put in this game but I believe they aren't really focused on the game right now but on recover their players and for the start of their season for the League, so the Portuguese League Cup comes kinda in 2nd place for them right now, they have bigger problems to deal. In their pre season they only played 2 games, 1 draw against Gil Vicente and a win over a poor Caldas team, today they will face a really good team.

With Leixoes dealing with all these issues, not training for this game and with 16 players having bad reactions to the Covid Vaccine I believe the edge of Guimaraes is even bigger like it would be normally, I would give Guimaraes the edge in this elimination even with Leixoes full squad but combined with all those problems that Leixoes is dealing I believe that Guimaraes should win this game without any problems, I also don't see Guimaraes relaxing because of Leixoes issues, their coach don't play around, he always wants excellence from his players, so take here Guimaraes to win this game.
