Vitoria Guimaraes changed a lot since the last season. Their last season was very unusual for a club like Vitoria, they started with a coach that didn't have any experience as coach before and he left the club after 3 games, then they bought Joao Henriques and sacked him after some bad results, then they put the coach of Guimaraes B as the main coach, but with 2 games to end the season he decided to leave and then they brought the U17 coach, resulting in 4 coaches in a single season. For this season they bought an amazing coach until 2023, Pepa. The coach who made an incredible work on Paços Ferreira last season achieving a 5th place. The club shared some inside videos of the training, and the relationship between him and the players are amazing, they are now breathing a new and healthy air. The good thing is that the best player Ricardo Quaresma is really enjoying to work with Pepa, he said that the new coach is really impressing him and he is finally happy in Guimaraes. They made 5 friendlies and won those 5. They kept the base of the team, and have some players back from loans, like Rafa Soares the best left-defender they had in the last 10 years and the centre-back Pedrão, an iconic player for them. They bought one of the best centre-backs of the last season, Toni Borevkovic who was playing the last season for Rio Ave and is a really good sign for Guimaraes. I would say that they have the best duo of wingers in the whole league, after the big 3 (Sporting, Porto and Benfica). They are so much better team than Leixoes, collectively with Pepa they are playing really well and individually there is no comparison.

Leixoes made a 10th place last season in the 2nd League. They are really competitive with the coach Jose Mota, but the team finished the last season very bad, conceding a lot of chances to the opponents and doing a lot of errors. They have made some changes in the team, but in my opinion the balance is negative as they have lost the keeper Beto, the right-defender Lucas Lopes who was doing amazingly, an adaptation by Jose Mota, they have lost the midfielder Jota to Nacional and their best player in my opinion, Joca. He was the main creative of the team, he is so good technically, he scored the goal Puskas of the 2nd league, an amazing "Rabonna" against Benfica B that I advise everyone to see. Joca is now playing for Rio Ave and will be for sure in the starting XI most of the time. In the attack they have lost the experienced Nene, the goalscorer of the team and the amazing winger Avto, I don't understand how he was still playing in the 2nd league, he is so good with both feet. To bridge these leaves, they bought Joao Amorim who is coming from a stop of 8 months after breaking the leg, Pedro Coronas who did not had many minutes in Penafiel, Joao Meira a good player from Cova da Piedade, Fabinho (in my opinion their best sign of this season) a good midfielder who was in Academica last season with a lot of minutes. I think they lack a lot of quality in the attack and will have a lot of problems this season to score goals. They will play in Guimaraes, one of the hardest stadiums in the country and I cannot believe that they can go to penalties. I am really confident for this bet.
