Atlético Madrid, who dramatically lost to PSG in the Champions League last week, will continue their work on the La Liga side on Sunday as a guest of Mallorca. Jagoba Arrasate has continued at the helm of Mallorca in the footsteps of Javier Aguirre, and the islanders have been the best defensive team after Atleti in the early season. The hosts have a quartet in injury room; Toni Lato, Iván Cuellar, Takuma Asano and Valery Fernández. No world-shattering absences, because all four positions are already well covered. Dominik Greif, who opened between the posts, and Manu Morlanes and Ómar Mascarell in the midfield are fighting for one position at the bottom. Thomas Lemar and Robin Le Normand are still question marks, but César Azpilicueta and Marcos Llorente will be included for Sunday. With these prospects, Giuliano Simeone will be allowed to continue on the right side of the midfield in the opener, and Alexander Sörloth will be pushed to pair with Antoine Griezmann.

Mallorca have only lost once at home this season, but they were badly beaten by Villarreal, and I see Simeone's Atletico in form and in full mental fitness to enjoy the moment and good feel factor from the PSG win. They will keep Mallorca far from scoring, and score 1 or 2 goals with the genius of Griezmann sooner or later. Mallorca have in fact scored 4 of their goals from corners, but only 5 from open play. As Atletico are extremely good with defending set pieces - they have conceded 1 goal from corners - I see them safe.
