Yes, they have defended better than I would have expected but their number of expected goals allowed (xGA) is still bigger.. Gala have netted the ball a whopping 28 goals - and have allowed eight in the Super Lig. Besiktas simply cannot match Gala in any area of the game. They will be missing Rashica and Uysa, Gabriel Paulista is questionable. As for Gala, Jakobs has a knee injury. Gala to win at the odds of around 1.85 is the professional bettor's choice here with a 63% chance of winning – once again!

Besiktas have won three of their last six games, losing 2/6. Last Thursday they took a lucky 1-0 win over a pretty big team, Lyon, in France in the UEL. This surprising win probably affects the odds (way too much) here.. Lyon, indeed, recorded 30 goal attempts and also generated much more in xG – 3.01-1.56 to be precise. It was " a miracle" that Lyon failed to score as the Besiktas defence was under huge pressure for most of the 90 minutes.. Before this Besiktas defeated Konyaspor 2-0 at home but the visitors managed a pretty high 11 goal attempts and 0.82 in xG.. In round 8 Besiktas were priced around 1.75 to beat Gaziantep on the road but it was a 1-1 draw after a pretty low-quality clash.. The hosts had many more goal attempts but Besiktas, despite a pretty lame offensive performance, managed two more goal attempts – 13-11.
