Scotland vs Portugal

Scotland is having a hard time in the elite group of the Nations League after having great success in the lower leagues but to be fair, all their losses was only by 1 goal difference and that includes the 1:2 loss in Lisbon against Portugal, the problem in that result is that Portugal should have won that game easily by 4 or 5 goals, Portugal just missed tons of chances and caught sleeping in one play that give Scotland the 1:0 lead but Portugal managed to score the 2:1 in the final minutes of the game but like I said, Portugal should have won that game easily by 4 or 5 goals difference. One thing that Scotland has been able to do in every game was scoring a goal and it happen in the last game too where they lost 1:2 against Croatia where they almost got a 2:2 in the end of the game but on their defensive side they have been suffering multiple goals in every game and it will be a hard task for them even at home to stop this Portugal team from scoring. Another problem on Scotland side is that they are missing a lot of players, especially the injury from McGinn is a big blow but overall they are missing 10 regular players and with the game played in Croatia is expected some rotations here and using some new players and testing them out because they aren't fighting for nothing right now, only pride but they still have McTominay, Gilmour and Robertson for example, who are nice players but Portugal is full of those players.

Portugal is sitting in 1st place of the group with 3 wins in 3 games, 2:1 against Croatia and Scotland at home and are coming of a 3:1 road win over Poland. The biggest problem for Portugal has been taking care of their chances even they scored at least 2 goals per game but they create many scoring chances and missed a lot of them like we saw in the first game against Scotland where they only managed to win 2:1 in a game they should have won easily by 4 or 5 goals difference and even in their last game against Poland they won 3:1 but had tons of chances to score more goals, that's have been the big problems for Portugal lately, taking care of their chances but overall Portugal is one of the best teams in the world when it comes to talent and it's also expected for Portugal to rotate some players to jump in this game because of fatique factors but I don't see any problem with that because talentwise those players who are likely to come in are elite players and they will come with hunger to the game and to perform well.

The only edge that Scotland has in this game is their home crowd, it's never easy to face them on the road but with all their problems on missing many key players of their national team and with Portugal coming here fully loaded with talent and playing good I think Portugal will dominate them like we saw in the 1st game between them and I expect Portugal to score multiple goals in this game like they have been doing even they have been missing a lots of chances but at least two goals is expected from them and I don't see Scotland been able to match that, maybe they score one goal and take Portugal defensive line by surprise like in the first game but besides that or set-pieces and I see Portugal been able to have a solid defensive game and Portugal attack is just full of talent what will give Scotland defensive line many problems and since Scotland isn't a team who plays like super defensive I see many space for Portugal to create chances to score here, it's just a matter to take care of their chances but overall I see Portugal win their 4th game here and beat Scotland here.
