Osasuna has been disappointing so far, in my opinion. They played against two relatively easy teams—Leganés and Mallorca—and managed to achieve 4 points without displaying a very strong or high-level performance. Then, in a game against a serious/strong rival, they were totally outplayed by Girona, where they managed only one shot on target throughout the entire match and generated just 0.07 expected goals.

However, I expect Osasuna to adopt a more offensive approach here. Against Girona in the midweek game, they fielded their starters, including key players like Bryan Zaragoza, Budimir, Torró, Oroz, and Moncayola. When they were 3-0 down, the coach substituted all of those players in the second half, likely with this game in mind. Nevertheless, they will still face fatigue.

Celta has a similar style to Girona (though with less quality, of course): offensive, high-pressing football. Therefore, I expect Osasuna to struggle here. Celta has been fantastic so far and is full of confidence. Moreover, they have had three more days to rest than Osasuna, which is a huge advantage in games like this, where fatigue and rotations play a crucial role. Additionally, in their last game against Villarreal, they fielded their reserves upfront, keeping their best players on the bench (Iago Aspas, Douvikas, Swedberg, Fran Beltrán, Hugo Álvarez).

As a result, Celta will be much fresher, with less fatigue and their best lineup available for this fixture, unlike Osasuna, who will be dealing with more fatigue and less time to rest and recover. Celta has been a very offensive team and is brimming with confidence. They are scoring goals with ease and have been a very difficult team to beat. Only Villarreal, who boasts one of the best squads in La Liga, managed to beat them, scoring from a penalty in the last minute. Before that, Celta delivered great performances, defeating Valencia and Alavés.

I expect this game to be tight and evenly matched between two teams of similar quality. However, Celta has the advantage of fitness, with less fatigue and their best players fully rested. Furthermore, I see them as a better team than Osasuna, who has been inconsistent so far.

ALAVES - LAS PALMAS

I expect Alavés to be a very strong home team this season. They have built a good squad and will be a difficult team to beat. In their last game against Real Sociedad, they made rotations, using their reserves. However, they won 1:2 in a very difficult stadium (also helped by hosts' red card).

For this fixture, they’ll field their best lineup, including their new transfer—striker Toni Martínez—who is expected to be a key player this season and has already scored in the previous game. Only midfielder Guevara might rest, as he has played the last two games. However, he will be replaced by Stoichkov, and winger Carlos Vicente will be replaced by Luka Romero.

Alavés has been fantastic so far, showing strong competitiveness and quality in the attack.

On the other hand, Las Palmas has been very weak so far. Yes, they are coming off a draw (1-1) against Real Madrid, but in these situations, I expect them to drop their level, as often happens when a smaller team achieves a positive result against a top one (like Barcelona or Madrid) and then has an away game.

They conceded a lot in the first round against Sevilla (2:2), where they deserved to lose, and then against Leganés, playing away, they were totally outplayed, and the defeat was fair. I believe this game will be similar to the one against Leganés: Alavés pushing hard, being a strong home team with a lot of intensity, and also having more quality than Leganés. Las Palmas is a team that will struggle a lot this season as they lack quality in attack and aren’t very solid in defense either. They need to generate a lot of chaces to score, and that's a problem.

Furthermore, they played with their starters against Real Madrid, so they’ll be fatigued and forced to make some rotations, which is important because Las Palmas has less squad depth than Alavés. I see Alavés as the better team here—much more quality, one more day to rest, more squad depth, and the home advantage, which is key in games like this.
