Ecuador vs Peru

Ecuador can for sure dream about the World Cup this team and so far so good, they are in 3rd place with 3 wins and 2 losses. Their only losses came on the road against Argentina 0:1 and Brasil 0:2, so those losses were expected but at home they had two impressive wins over Uruguay by 4:2 and Colombia by 6:1 what puts Ecuador in an amazing spot for the World Cup qualification, they just can't lose points against the weaker teams what I don't believe they will, their other win was on the road by 3:2 against Bolivia in a tough situation because of high altitude, so even that tough road game they already have conquered. Their lead over Uruguay and Colombia are only 2 points, so they know they can't messed up this game against Peru, especially this version of Peru who are miles away from the past in my opinion and this generation of Ecuador is a really good one, they have good players and some really good young players and they are also really well coached.

Peru are in 10th place and haven't won any game so far, they started with a draw and since than they lost 4 times in a row. A couple years ago Peru made some surprising performances and especially in the Copa America playing some really good football but those times are way behind this team, this team is far away from those glory days, right now they are a team who commits too many defensive mistakes during games, already suffered 13 goals in 5 games and their attack isn't dangerous any more, they super star Legend Guerrero is just too old right now, he isn't the same player that he was a couple years ago and now with 37 years he is pratically in his end of the career, the only reason why he plays here is because they haven't better player to substitute him but this version is far away from the glory days of Guerrero and than also players like Carillo and Advincula who are decent players have been lately in really bad shape, overall Peru is a mess right now. Trauco who is an important player for them will miss this game via suspension too.

I like this Ecuador team, they put a lot of pressure during their games and play very intensive football and they will make Peru commit mistakes and with the issues that this Peru team has on defense I see Ecuador taking advantage of their ball recovery and using their speed to hurt Peru's defensive line. Right now I see Ecuador on another level than Peru, at home Ecuador has been impressive with 2 wins in 2 games against great teams like Uruguay and Colombia scoring 10 goals in those 2 games. I like Ecuador winning here, I expecting them to score multiple goals here and I don't see Peru scoring more than 1 goal here, so take Ecuador to win this game here and continue their nice form in this World Cup Qualification in South America.
