Levain Cup 1st leg of 1/8 finals between Vissel Kobe and Urawa Red Diamonds. The cup is a goal for both teams despite they are fighting for a top 3 in J1.

Vissel Kobe is a team with many ups and downs. The only advantage they have is the large roster. In the Cup coach always used alternative lineups involving players like Lincoln,Masika or Iniesta who are not regular in J1 games.

Vissel Kobe managed to qualify as 2nd in Group B.Out for this game are best scorer st Furuhashi (17/9), mid Goke (17/2) and def Vermalen (9/1) all with national teams.

Urawa Red Diamonds in other hand finished 1st in Group C.However as Vissel Kobe there were many games where young players participated as Tatsuya Tanaka and Zion Suzuki brought good rhythms to the league games and it became an important stage for fostering team strength.

Only in the last game against Yokohama coach Rodriguez put a strong team.

Urawa is in a very good form and in last 2 months lost only 1 game in J1.

Out for this game is 2nd gk Suzuki (4/0).

Being the 1st leg both teams will go carefully in this game. It also depends what kind of lineups they will put but being a goal for both teams this Cup then I don't expect big turnover.

Currently i see Urawa Red Diamonds stronger and more solid than Vissel Kobe.
