ODD - HAM-KAM

Although both teams are in similar positions, there’s a huge difference between both of them.

Odd is a good team in the league, with experience and a good squad, who shouldn’t be in the relegation zone as there are many more teams worse than them. However, they have not been performing well with only 3 victories and 14 goals scored in 14 games. Their defense has been terrible so far as well with 25 goals conceded in 14 games, having the worst defense in the whole league.

The lack of goal is their main concern, as they don't have any good striker, but have some very good players upfront such as the young promise Twelde (5 goals in 15 games) or key midfielder Jorgensen.

This season they hired some good players who definitely raised the level of the team, although results are saying the opposite so far, they have good potential.

But HamKam is the main reason for this pick. They have one of the worst teams in the league, only the newly promoted side (who also sold a lot of players recently) KFUM-Oslo have less value than them in the whole league.

One of their best players so far has been Niklas Odegard, on loan from Molde, who has scored 6 goals and is the topscorer of the team. One of their best players and a key defender Halvor Opsahl has been out during the whole season so far due to an injury.

For this season they didn’t hire any interesting player so I expect them to be an average mid-table team, as they have enough experience to avoid relegation although having one of the worst squads in the league.

I expect a tight game, probably with goals from both sides because HamKam is also a team who struggles to keep the goal to nil. HamKam has won just 3 games so far: against bottom Sandefjord, a crazy game against leaders Bodo/Glimt (where they won 1:0 with only 23% possession) and another crazy game against Sarpsborg where they won 1:7. Without those 7 goals, they have scored just 9 goals in 13 games which are poor numbers.

I believe this fixture could finish with a draw. However, I see Odd favorite to win (if someone does it) because they have much more potential and quality. Furthermore, they have won the last 4 games played HamKam

SANDEFJORD - BODO/GLIMT

Opposite dynamics here. Bottom against leaders.

Sandefjord is at the bottom and have been the worst team in the league so far. That’s normal: they already made the miracle last season avoiding relegation with the worst squad in the whole Eliteserien and this year again they have one of the worst teams.

Some of their best players lately have been striker Eman Markovic (4 goals, topscorer of the team), but other key players such as their most valued one - LB Vetle Walle Egeli (who made a good season last year) he in poor form, without even playing too much this season.

Cheng Christopher is replacing him as starter.

They have been totally outplayed by all teams, as they are mainly a counter-attacking team.

On the other hand, Bodo/Glimt is the best team in the league. Not only in value and squad’s quality, but also in the results so far: solid leaders, the best attack, the best defense, and main title contenders one more season.

As Bodo/Glim has been winning the title recently (3 of the last 4 seasons) they have a lot of money, so they built an amazing squad who is class above in this league. They don’t have any rival, and I expect them to lose less than 3 games this season (they have lost one already).

Bodo/Glimt has the capacity to dominate and beat any rival in this league, and of course the worst team in the league is a very easy job in 9 of 10 games.

They have the best players in the league, such as Albert Gronbaek who is playing a fantastic season so far, scoring 8 goals with great performances (and whose value is above 10 of the other 15 teams we have in the Eliteserien), as well as captain Patrick Berg who is coming from two great performances in the last 2 games with 3 goals.

Unless there’s some accident here (red card, penalti, unlucky game that sometimes happens…) this is a very unequal game where Bodo/Glimt has a huge advantage. This season they already played a game where they drew 1:1 in a match where Sandejford dominated completely, with the double of expected goals.
