Colombia vs Panama

Colombia ended their group in 1st place and because of that they will face Panama, a weaker team. In their group stage Colombia beat Paraguay by 2:1, Costa Rica by 3:0 and against Brazil they got that important 1:1 draw that gave them the 1st place of the group. Colombia is a good team and they surprised me against Brazil, of course there was a clear penalty for Brazil what would probable gave Brazil a 2:0 lead but besides that Colombia was the clear better team, high intensity, high pressure, great attitude and playing really good football with huge support in the stands and they have a solid collective team with great players like Cordoba, Luis Diaz, Sanchez and James Rodriguez who in the National Team always plays some of his best football.

Panama made a huge surprise in the tournament after ending in 2nd place in a group with Uruguay and USA. The started with a 1:3 loss to Uruguay in a game they could have easily lost by way more, than they beat USA 2:1 because USA messed up with an early red card what have Panama a solid chance to not lose that game and they even managed to win and with that win their chances were great to move to the elimination round because they needed to face the weakest team in the group Bolivia and they took advantage of their chance and beat Bolivia by 3:1 and moved to the elimination round. Even Panama is a weak team in my opinion they do have a great team spirit, giving it all in the field, so they do deserve some respect and been here is already an amazing result for them.

I think this is the end for Panama, they are coming of intense games where they give it all and took advantage of their chances but today they will face a much better team than them and also a team who plays with the same intensity than them, the difference is the quality of players on each side and if Colombia takes care of their goal chances they should have no problems here to beat Panama by at least two goals difference in my opinion, I see this game end in a 3:0 or 4:0 for Colombia if they take care of their chances.

Uruguay vs Brazil

I'm very high on this Uruguay team, for me they are the only one's that can stop Argentina to win their title and we already saw in the group stage that this Uruguay team is legit by beating easily Panama by 3:1, Bolivia by 5:0 and USA by 1:0 and even they won all their games in each game they could have won by more because one of the problems of this team is taking care of their scoring chances, especially Darwin Nunez who has some incredible misses already in this tournament but besides that this Uruguay team is rock solid in each sector and Coached by the legendary Bielsa who is know for his teams to play amazing and collective football, like I said, for me they are one of the contenders to win this tournament.

Brazil is historically always one of the contenders but I think that this team doesn't have that much of a chance to win the tournament because they just don't work well together has an collective team, of course, they have star players but has an collective they just mash up well and we saw that in the group stage where they got a 0:0 draw against Costa Rica, 4:1 win over Paraguay and a 1:1 draw against Colombia in a game they needed to win so they wouldn't face this Uruguay team and they got outplayed by Colombia and if they struggled against Colombia I expect them to struggle big time against Uruguay too.

I really don't get why Uruguay is the underdog in this game, maybe because of their name Brazil and history but Uruguay already beat Brazil nine month's ago and showed dominance and this Uruguay team in terms of talent is also a legit one with players like Nunez, Valverde, Ugarte, Araujo, Vina, Bentancur, Arrascaeta and Gimenez and that combined with the great collective effort under Coach Bielsa I just don't think that this Uruguay team is inferior than Brazil, so take here Uruguay to win or draw this game in 90th minute because in my view Uruguay plays much better than Brazil, of course, Brazil has that talent in the attack that always can win you a game but overall I believe more in this Uruguay team than Brazil's one.
