Huge difference here.

Sarpsborg is having a terrible season so far, with a balance of 3/1/7. They have lost 5 of the last 6 games, winning only a crazy and lucky game against Molde 2:4 where they were outplayed but scored 4 lucky goals, although they generated just 0.42 expected goals. But their young attackers Orjasaeter and Chrupalla made the game of their life so far.

Sarpsborg has a very young team, like the two players mentioned above who are 20 and 21 years old respectively. Orjasaeter is their best player who looks promising, but he is still very young and lacks regularity. Last season he scored only 6 goals in 30 games.

They have been terrible in defense, conceding a lot of goals lately. The team is lacking confidence and are not able to keep the goal to nil. They also conceded 7 goals in a single game(1:7 vs HamKam), and with 25 goals conceded in 11 games have the worst defense in the whole Eliteserien.

I believe sooner or later they will achieve good results again as I don’t see them being relegated this season (mainly because there are at least a couple of teams who are worse), but this fixture doesn’t look the best one for this matter.

Bodo/Glimt is the best team in the league, and one more season they are at the top and are the main title contenders. They have the best squad (their value is 4 times higher than Sarpsborg) and the best players in the league, such as midfielder Gronbaek who is class above or captain Patrick Berg. Gronbaek is also in great form with 8 goals, leading the topscorers table of the league and making brilliant performances recently.

After a bad run with 3 games winless (and conceding 4 goals), they achieved an important victory against Haugesund 0:1 away, which gave them confidence to stay at the top.

They are leaders at the moment but with the same points as Brann, who is making a great season and pushing hard from behind.

Bodo/Glimt is one more season performing at top in both areas: have the best attack with 25 goals scored and also the best defense with just 8 conceded. They are an extremely difficult team to beat, and I expect them to lose less than 5 games this season.

Furthermore, I believe that the international break has been positive for Bodo/Glimt who were in a bad run and performing at a worse level, so I expect them to again show their best level and continue at the top.

Bodo/Glimt already beat Sarpsborg in the last 5 games played, including last season where they won 2:0 twice. They have much more quality and are clearly favorites to win this fixture.
