IFK Mariehamn (MIFK) welcome KuPS for this Suomen Cup (Finnish Cup) clash at Wiklöf Arena very early Monday morning Beijing time. To be able to sell these players – at a decent price – KuPS need to qualify for the Conference League qualies. Siltanen and Ruoppi are their best young talents at the moment. I want to highlight that they are, after all, unlikely to win the Championship – getting a ticket for the Champions League qualification for the 2025-2026 season.. MIFK are expected to rotate their squad pretty heavily today.. Odds of around 1.50 on the KuPS win (in the 90 minutes of play) are widely available and we will gladly take it.

MIFK have done better this season than I expected in my in-depth preseason analysis. Last season they were very close to being relegated.. They have 13 points to their account and have a score difference of 13:15. Many of their players have played above their normal level.. They have no clear weaknesses in their game but are vulnerable to well-organized pressing and I expect KuPS, coached by the excellent Jani Honkavaara, to do exactly this here.. KuPS top the standings with 25 points and a fine score difference of 23:11 but are not the best team in this league by pure class but should have enough to beat the pretty lowly MIFK. Especially in terms of offensive quality KuPS have a huge edge here. They, despite the rotation, recorded 20 goals in their most recent game. Haka, however, "stole" the points through a 1-0 win. KuPS also missed a penalty in this match. Possibly this loss to Haka affects the odds too much here.. Before this they easily beat AC Oulu 4-1 at home. MIFK have been been mediocre lately. In their most recent match they took a point from VPS at home (0-0) but the visitors recorded many more goal attempts, shots off goal, attacks and dangerous attacks!
