Finland's biggest club, HJK, will host the newly-promoted Oulu in the sixth round of the Veikkausliiga. The guests aren't doing well as they did last season in the second division, and are currently last-placed in the league with four losses from four games. HJK is, as usual, doing an excellent job, topping the league with four triumphs and one draw. Two sides played each other just two months ago, with the hosts winning 4-0 at home in a friendly duel. I believe Oulu is preparing themselves to be a hard opponent to beat for Toni Koskela's team, something we often see when weak sides play the strongest. Jyrki Ahola's men have done fine in a 1-2 loss vs. HIFK, and if they manage to defend well against HJK, we may expect a similar outcome once again.

The hosts are on a three-game winning streak, coming back from a tough away duel vs. SJK, still managing to defeat them 0-2. "Klubi" usually plays calculated football, playing great offensively while still being comfortable with their defense. Jair will be the only one missing the upcoming game. This year, Helsinki has won only once with a three-goal lead, mostly closing their games with a second goal. Historically, Oulu has challenged HJK in the two clubs' meetings, drawing once and losing twice, 2-0 and 0-0, excluding this year's friendly game.

The visitors are back from a great campaign in the second tier, finishing first with fifteen victories and only two losses from twenty-two matches. They are yet to embarrass themselves in 2021, with all of their defeats being close ones. Oulu's only visit of the season was against Mariehamn, with the underdogs losing 3-1 due to poor first half. This squad has done well in the preseason, surprising some bigger Finnish sides with victories.
