Finally found an interesting pick, in the Premier League game between Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

Crystal Palace is in terrible form, winless in the last 4 games and we must especially see the last two where conceded 10 goals: 3:0 against Aston Villa and 0:7 vs Liverpool. The loss to Aston Villa on the weekend would have been particularly concerning for Roy Hodgson, as they played a bit more than a half with a man advantage, but still couldn't make it count. Instead, they conceded two more goals in the second half.

With 28 goals conceded in 15 games, Palace has the second worst defence of the whole Premier League. Conceding almost 2 goals per game it’s impossible to achieve points, especially with a weak attack like Palace has.

Furthermore, they have a short squad with lack of quality, and I don't think they will be able to be at 100% with only 48 hours rest after an important game, like the weekend’s onee against Aston Villa.

Defender Gary Cahill is out for them.

On the other side, Leicester City is having a fantastic season. Their last results weren't perfect, but also rivals were pretty strong: Manchester United, Tottenham and the surprise of the season - Everton (2nd).

Leicester (3rd) form is excellent: is the team who has more victories in the whole Premier League: 9 in 15 games, same as Liverpool (1st) and Everton). Vardy (11 goals, 4 assists) is also in an excellent moment, which helps the team to achieve good results.

But, the opposite as Palace, the weekend game gave them confidence and motivation, as brought about more evidence of the character in their squad: they came from behind to draw 2-2 in two tims with Manchester United at the King Power Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers's side fully deserved a result which kept them above their opponents in the standings.

With trips to London and Newcastle United to come, it was important that the Foxes gained a result which ensured that they remained in the mix in the top six, and they did it.

Leicester could make some rotations here, but is a team built to be competitive in Premier League and UEFA Europa League, so their squad has quality enough to play midweek games and continue being 100% competitive. The depth of the squad has beeen proven in the UEL and the Foxes could adapt to the short rest much better than the hosts here.

Palace are stuck in a rut at the moment and I see Leicester City in prime position to take advantage of their horrible form. The form of the likes of Vardy and Barnes is likely to be too much for Palace to handle, given their current predicament.
