In my opinion Barcelona is the most-in-form team of the top3 in La Liga. They are making a great football, full of confidence and totally focused on the title. Players like Messi, Dembele or Griezmann are at a very good level.

On the other hand, Atletico is in the worst moment of the season. They are playing so bad, conceding a lot at the back and without too much danger in attack. Key players Luis Surez and Joao Felix are in bad form, and rivals are finding the way to create danger easily.

It’s almost a miracle that they are at the top of the table with 76 points, as it’s a very low number. It’s just due to the low level of Barcelona and Real Madrid this season.

In the previous weekend they were very lucky to achieve the victory vs Elche. Won 0-1, but hosts missed a penalty at 89’.

I’m sure that this match will be dominated by Barcelona. They need to win to have chances to win the title, while the draw will be ok for Atletico. That’s why Atletico will make a defensive match, waiting for their chance at set piece or counter attack, while Barcelona will have the ambition and domination.

Barcelona is at a much better level and has much more quality. Also the home factor is important here: Cholo Simeone never won in Camp Nou yet, while also Atletico de Madrid has been able to win just one of the last 6 away games played (against Elche 0:1 who missed a penalty at 89’ as said).
