Rayo Vallecano in bad form, especially upfront where are struggling a lot to score goals and dont have any reliable scorer. Their topscorer is winger Alvaro Garcia with 4 goals, and nobody else has scored more than 2 goals.

Coach already moaned in the press conference about the few preparation for this match, as they played Cup on Wednesday night, so have only 2 days to prepare this game.

On the other hand, Las Palmas for me is a great team because their ability to control the games with the possession, a very difficult to beat. Only top teams did it so far (Barcelona, Athletic, Betis, Madrid…).

In the previous game (October) against Rayo (0:1) they deserved to win, but Las Palmas missed a penalty and then Rayo Vallecano scored from penalty at 92’. 

Las Palmas has conceded only 17 goals, having the second best defense in the league and one of the best goalkeepers. They also have better preparation because didn't play Cup this midweek. They are coming also with confidence after a solid victory 3:0 against Villarreal last weekend.

I see Las Palmas totally able to avoid the defeat here. Their handicap +0.5 looks like a good bet for me. Seeing the current defensive level of Las Palmas and the offensive one by Rayo, I don't see hosts generating too much. Furthermore, guests will control the game and manage the tempo as they like/want. Rayo Vallecano doesn't have the level needed to beat Las Palmas in normal conditions, only in a lucky way like the previous game played in October.
