There is a consensus among experts how the league in Finland Premier will turn out to be. Here is a short summary, the season begins in full today, but a few matches have already been played.
HJK and KuPS are the only two who fight for the title. A long story short, they have superb resources and motivation and means to do well.
The other likely top-6 teams are Inter Turku, Honka, SJK and Lahti. Like in every season the teams are very strongly changed, and the only point to look at previous seasons is to see the relative wealth, the teams tend to achieve similar positions because they are richer than someone else, but the players itself may be completely different.
Honka did let their most experienced and expensive players to go - some of them are at Lahti now like Kandji and Hervas, Inter is mostly unchanged, SJK have always a top-3 budget but they also always fail because of bad team building and club management.
MIFK are the only club which is geographically hard to reach as an overnight ferry is usually required to reach the mainland. It brings them some added home advantage, but also mean they are long times on the road themselves.
HIFK from Helsinki were infamous because of the Chinese businessman who owned them for some time with co-operation to Danish club Vejle. He is now out, and this is another team that is almost completely changed from last season, including the manager.
Ilves from Tampere are known to educating and selling good young players and buying in good Africans and this season seems to be no different. They are also a top-6 candidate, but too many key players from key positions have gone that it would be too likely. Especially defense with gk Hilander going to local rivals Haka and cb Diogo to KuPS suffered a lot.
Haka, coached by legendary Teemu Tainio (Tottenham) and helped by Sami Hyypiä, well... we will see. The material is not strong, the material is.
The promoted teams AC Oulu and KTP are clearly the weakest teams, and KTP look like they are weaker than last season in the lower league!

Will talk about these in more detail in match previews. Even if the rankings are clear the actual class differences are rather small, and the main thing will be to see the actual lineups.
SJK v KTP... well I just said that SJK can not be trusted long-term, but the current state of KTP is so bad that this is a must pick!
SJK have a few absentees of classy players as keeper Viitala, mf Hetemaj and cv Mäntylä are out, but in this match they make no difference.
KTP miss a good scorer and set piece specialist Mäkijärvi.
3-0
