In my opinion Wolfsburg have bigger chances to win this game than bookies wants to suggest for us in their odds.

I see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, potential and ambitions. Darmstadt wants to avoid relegation, Wolfsburg wants to finish in top8 and they have to win in such matches against lower rank teams without any excuses. For sure this is ‘must 3 points’ match on their schedule.

Wolfsburg have more bad moments than good, but in current season they were able to win against RBL from top5 or played close match against leader of the table from Leverkusen. In last round Wolfsburg lost 0:1 at home against Freiburg (European Cups team), but they not looked worse than their opponents: expected goals scored for Wolfsburg 1.19, for Freiburg 1.09. Wolfsburg best players Svanberg, Majer and Wind are available and they should be able to make a lot of troubles for Darmstadt poor defensive formation.

Darmstadt lost in last round lost on the road against other relegation material (Heidenheim) and they looked poor at both end of the pitch: lack of creativity (0.92 expected goals scored) and silly errors at the back (3 goals conceded). In addition to that, hosts today have huge squad problems as they coming for this game without offensive star Mehlem (he is second-best scorer and best assistant) and best player in current season (according to the ratings) Nurnberger.
