West Bromwich Albion and Rotherham United are in a similar, struggling state. But the two teams have very different objectives. WBA are the permanent promotion-challenger and Rotherham United want to escape from their destiny of promotion-relegation lift.

The two teams have six or seven players unavailable each, creating selection headaches for head coaches Carlos Corberan and Wayne Carlisle. Rotherham have a plague of hamstring issues, while Albion have a host of long-term absentees.

WBA' lack of squad depth due to injuries has been particularly noticeable recently with the quality of oppositions being so high, but a chance now awaits to face the team at rock bottom of the Championship.

Rotherham United have already narrowly escaped from relegation last year. I don’t think they can be lucky again.
