Birmingham City have been adapting to a new style of football under Wayne Rooney before Friday's clash against Coventry City.

The Manchester United legend arrived at St Andrew's in October after substituting former boss John Eustace. Birmingham City were fifth in the Championship when Eustace was sacked and have since slipped down to 15th with just one win under Rooney.

It looks like a big opportunity for Coventry to get 3 points. But head coach Mark Robins acknowledges that their opponents on Friday might be able to create difficulties for the hosts.

“I think it has always been decent games against Birmingham City. Our one-time landlords and yeah, they've always been tight cup games. Remember the league games we've had both there and at home, both games were very tight last season so it's going to be an interesting game.”

There is friendship between two clubs. Coventry rented Birmingham’s stadium during the period their own stadium was modernized. There have been many many draws since. Why not a draw again today?
