In my opinion Western Sydney have really good chances to make at least one point in today’s match up.

Western won last two consecutive matches at this stadium so for sure they coming for this game without any fear. It’s derby of Sydney, they don’t have to travel anywhere so this is good advantage for Western, no doubt about that.

From what we saw from both teams in first 4 rounds, for me is very hard to call FC Sydney favorite in this game.

Sydney so far have serious problems at both ends of the pitch, they failed to score in 3 of 4 matches in current campaign. Their top scorer from previous season Le Fondre left the team, key winger Mak is without a form. It’s problematic before today’s game. Western kept clean sheet in 3 of 4 matches so far and their experienced central defender Marcelo looks superb. He brining a lot of consistency and stability for defensive formation. I don’t see easy goals for Sydney FC.

On the other hand Western scored more than one goal in last 3 matches in a row and they should be able to score some goals also today. Sydney FC defensive formation looks extremely unstable at the moment. They conceded at least one goal in all 4 matches so far (3 times more than one goal) and it’s no coincidence – in each game they had expected goals conceded number above 1.72 (!!!).

Double chance on Western looks like very good option to play for me.
