In my opinion Colombia have bigger chances to avoid loss in this game than bookies wants to suggest for us in their odds. I see great value on home side with double chance.

In overall Colombia is not easy opponent for Brazil. Since 2012 both teams played each other 11 times and 5 times Colombia avoided loss. All losses with exactly one goal margin. Colombia didn’t lost in both home matches against Brazil during that run.

Colombia is rock-solid, no doubt about that. They didn’t lost a single match since February 2022 (!!!). Hosts of today’s match are without a loss with coach Nestor Lorenzo on the bench. I believe they have all required tools to continue this amazing streak today.

I don’t see easy goals for Brazil today. Colombia have a lot of consistency and stability at the back. They finished 5 of last 6 matches with clean sheet. In addition to that, their key central defender Mina is available again today so I expect another top class performance at the back. On the other hand Brazil today without key striker Richarlison, key offensive midfielder Paqueta and without Neymar: he is best player in qualies according to the ratings, he is also best scorer and best assistant for Brazil in current campaign. It’s huge blow and should have very bad impact on their performance in attack against very solid Colombian defensive formation. For me is very hard to imagine more than one goal for guests.

On the other hand since last group match on World Cup (lost 0:1 against Cameroon) Brazil kept only one clean sheet in 10 matches (!!!). In addition to that, today they are without first goalkeeper Ederson, key defender Danilo & Militao and key defensive midfielder Casemiro. Colombia with dangerous players like Luis Diaz from Liverpool should be able to score at least one goal today.

Colombia should be able to score at least one goal and that should be simply enough to avoid loss in this game.
