In my opinion Venezuela have really good chances to make at least one point in today’s match up.

Venezuela have really solid streak at home against Ecuador as they didn’t lost in 6 of last 7 matches against them front of home crowd.

Obviously, on the paper Ecuador is stronger team – they qualified into 4 of last 6 World Cup competitions. On the other hand Venezuela never played in main draw of World Cup, but they made huge improvement and they are hard nut to crack at the moment. After 4 rounds Venezuela have 7 points in the table, 3 more than Ecuador.

Coach Fernando Batista is on the Venezuela bench since march and so far teams looks great. They played 8 matches and went unbeaten 7 times. On last camp Venezuela played on away against Brazil and at home against Chile. They recorded 4 points in those matches. Atmosphere in team is great and they wants to go with momentum front of home crowd.

Venezuela have in squad high quality midfielder Yangel Herrera. He plays for Girona (leader of the table in La Liga!) and he is in great form. Without any shadow of doubt, he is best hosts player. He is in great form and ready to go today. On the other hand Ecuador today is without their best defender Estupinan (Brighton) and without best scorer Valencia (40 goals in 83 matches). It’s huge blow because today Ecuador don’t have any player in squad with more than 10 goals for national team.

In addition to that, Ecuador is not strong team on the road – they failed to win in 23 of last 30 away matches in all competitions.

On those circumstances I see excellent value on home side.
